DAY 2
On our second day, after our breakfast, we travel 87 km further south to meet the gentle giants of Oslob, the whale sharks.
Oslob is a small coastal town located at the southern tip of Cebu. It has become world famous because of the whale sharks or the largest fish on the planet that roam its seas, locally known as butanding or tuki.
Our Accommodation: Down South 118 Beach Resort
If you are looking for a place that offers, a relaxing atmosphere and has a perfect panoramic sea view, Down South 118 Beach Resort is the best accommodation for you. It is a mix of coastal living and beach-style accommodation. It is one of the best in Oslob where you can comfortably chill, relax while you sip coffee, and appreciate the sunset view and the sea.

The Tumalog Falls
Upon reaching the Tumalog Falls car park, you have to descend a very steep road to get to the waterfall. It takes around 10 minutes to walk down or you can take a habal habal down for 30 pesos one way, or 50 pesos (3$) return.
The entrance booth to the falls is at the bottom of the road, and from there, it’s a short walk to the base of the waterfalls where you can go for a swim, take snaps and appreciate the wonderful view.
Tumalog Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines. It’s height is around 80 to 100 meters. It isn’t too deep, but the turquoise
waters of the falls, and the sheer size of the waterfall make it an incredible place to visit. It’s near the Oslob Whale Shark adventure so why not add this great place as part of a day trip discovering the amazing waterfalls of South Cebu?

DAY 3
Oslob Whale Shark Adventure
We started our adventure at the dawn of our third day in Oslob Cebu as we were to be at the beach site before 6 am to see the feeding of the whale sharks. The line at the entrance starts as early as 3 am!
The entrance fee varies depending on your choice of activities. The boat ride and watching only is 500php (8$) while snorkeling plus renting for the diving gears costs around (25$) 1000 to 1500php.
Diving and snorkeling are timed and people-limited activities are done in batches. Each group is given 30 minutes to see or swim with the whale sharks. Prior to that, there will be an instructive discussion and presentation about Whale Sharks, as well as strict rules that must be followed throughout the activity.
Most people would think that these whale sharks are too dangerous but on the contrary, we are a potential threat to them. The people visiting them are recommended to follow the rules and conduct while interacting with these gentle giants.
8 Hours Travel from South to North
After our early adventure with the gentle giants, we immediately leave after our breakfast heading to Hagnayan Port catching up for the last day trip to Bantayan Island at 4pm. Along the way we made 2 stop over, first at Simala Church and then to Carcar City for our Lunch and had Cebu’s finest Lechon!

SIMALA PARISH CHURCH
The Simala Parish Church is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Sibonga, Cebu, Philippines. It is also known for its Monastery of the Holy Eucharist called by the locals Our Lady of Lindogon Shrine.
Our Lady of Lindogon, was built in 1998 by the Marian Monks of Eucharistic Adoration from Pampanga which is believed to be miraculous by devotees of the Virgin Mary; subsequent to its reported shedding of tears, it was credited with the healing of those who were afflicted with dengue in the area in 1998. The image has since that time reportedly shed tears on four more occasions, the latest being on September 8, 2016. (1)

Carcar City Lechon
One of the highlights of visiting Carcar City is trying its famous delicacies, such as chicharon, lechon, and ampao. Chicharon is a deep-fried pork rind that is crispy and flavorful, while lechon is a roasted pig that is juicy and succulent. The best place to buy or to get these delicacies is to visit their local market where you can see it all freshly roasted or cooked.

Super Ferry at Hagnayan Port
Thankfully we reached the port just a few minutes before the last day trip schedule of Super Ferry at 4:30 pm bound to Santa Fe Bantayan Island. The normal fare per person cost around (7$) 397 pesos plus 25pesos terminal fee. Discount rate fares also applicable to child, student and senior citizens.

Our short trip of 30 to 45 minutes was a little bit wavey and it also rained along the way but gladly we reached Santa Fe safely at around 5:30pm.
